The MICT SETA will host a Roundtable Dialogue, Virtual Capacity Building Workshop on Career Development Services and a 3D Career Exhibition on 22 June 2021.

The purpose of the Virtual Capacity Building workshop is to provide access and support on career development services and information on post-school education and training opportunities in the media and ICT sector. The workshop seeks to provide basic orientation to career development and information on post-school education and training opportunities. Through this workshop, the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) Khetha CDS, will equip Career Development Practitioners with information and guidelines on the provision of career development.

The 3D virtual career exhibition aims to expose audiences to career opportunities available to learners, youth and unemployed youth, post-school; providing relevant information that will equip them to make the right career decisions.

With the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) developing an environment that is disruptive and digitally transforming the way we live, study and work, the expo will utilise 4IR activities such as virtual reality to deliver a unique, and engaging exhibition, generating interest through a visually rich and interactive environment.

The Roundtable discussion will host stakeholders in our key sub-sectors under the following theme: “Skills development as an enabler to economic recovery and driver of the digital economy”. It will explore the following topical discussions:
